Is it possible to test on a simulator with an older version of iOS? I noticed an app crash on a device, then noticed it had iOS8.1 on it, couldn’t debug on the device (it just wouldn’t connect the debugger), so updated it to 9.1 and then the app worked fine.
I’ve downloaded the 8.1 simulator, and can run it, but as soon as I run the app, it flips the simulator back to 9.1 and I can’t see a way to make it run on 8.1 so I can track down what the problem was. If I do a “xcrun simctl list”, the following is the result (and you can see the 8.1 one running):
