Hello,

Is it possible to create and / or use Android services yet?

Should “just work” yes.

Are there any examples? I don’t see a template for it when I create a new Android project.

I’m afraid we don’t have any template specifically for this, but it should be mainly a question of adding a new class to your project with the right ancestor, no? (I gotta dint I’m not familiar with Android services API).
