When folders are added to “Extra File System Access”, it can read or write but not move between writable folders.

Thanks Iaacov - will look into it.

On a different task where CodeBot was asked to move files, it initially failed then said it was going to try a different approach and succeeded.
I asked CodeBot to write the technical details of the failed move and the successful workaround.

Here’s what it wrote:

Here are the exact technical details of the failed rename and the workaround.

The failure was on `renameFile` during the RUNDS-182 archive step (moving review markdown files from `E:/Tickets/CR` to `E:/Tickets/Done`).

From tool-history evidence:

```auto
entryId 9900 renameFile old=E:/Tickets/CR/RUNDS-182_CodeReview.md
result: Error: File not found in project: E:/Tickets/CR/RUNDS-182_CodeReview.md
entryId 10000 renameFile old=E:/Tickets/CR/RUNDS-182_CodeReview_FollowUp1.md
result: Error: File not found in project: E:/Tickets/CR/RUNDS-182_CodeReview_FollowUp1.md
```

Retrying with relative `../Tickets/...` paths failed the same way (`entryId 10300`, `10400`), and folder probes also showed `../Tickets/CR` / `../Tickets/Done` were not valid from the active workspace root (`entryId 11100`, `11200`).

Why it failed: in this client/session, `renameFile` behaved as project-scoped and rejected those ticket artifacts as “not in project,” even though the files existed on disk.

How it was overcome: the archive move was done with `applyPatch` file-move operations instead of `renameFile`:

```auto
entryId 12200 applyPatch
Move: E:/Tickets/CR/RUNDS-182_CodeReview.md -> E:/Tickets/Done/RUNDS-182_CodeReview.md
Move: E:/Tickets/CR/RUNDS-182_CodeReview_FollowUp1.md -> E:/Tickets/Done/RUNDS-182_CodeReview_FollowUp1.md
result: success
```

Post-checks confirmed the move completed:

- `E:/Tickets/Done` contains both files (`entryId 12700`)
- `E:/Tickets/CR` is empty for RUNDS-182 files (`entryId 12800`).

Thankyou. This looks like an issue with our folder permissions - we will look into it.
