# Codebot changes mess up standard jump to implementation and declaration

that pretty much says it, after closing and reopening the changed unit it works again…
that said, i have the impression (i can’t prove it) that codebot altered unattended a datamodule unit with a DASchema - i was changing a table def and regenerated the intf files, and ‘something’ messed the dfm up..
never encountered this - and prior to this hickup i updated codebot cause it popped up saying it wanted to updat itself…

It really doesn’t.
Are you talking about e.g. the keyboard shortcut to go back and forth stops working?

LOL yes, keyb shortcut does not ‘work’ anymore in the sence that i either does not jump or jumps to the wrong place in the generated code…

so i guess the delphi ide does not really ‘know’ about the changes and therefore can’t ‘jump’

But the code is correct – or does jumping fail because the code is bad (same as if you yourself had typed bad code)?

no code was/is correct, the ide does not see the added code i guess so it jumps to the wrong place or not

To be honest, this sounds like an IDE bug. We use standard techniques to modify the file and I would expect the IDE to understand its contents. However, I’ll see what I can do to “trick” it to figuring out it needs to adjust / update!
