High(ish) CPU when running Remoting ApplicationServer with --commandline

Running C# .NET Remoting SDK ApplicationServer as a regular Windows application, at idle, uses around 0-1% utilization on my computer (12 core i7).

When I use the --commandline option to run it as a console application, CPU utilization sits around 25% for the program, when idle.

Normal?

Of course it is not. Clearly it is (was) a bug.

Now CPU consumption looks like this:
