my suggestion would be:
Currency = public {$IF COOPER}class mapped to java.math.BigDecimal{$ELSEIF ECHOES}record mapped to System.Decimal{$ELSEIF NOUGAT}class mapped to NSDecimalNumber{$ENDIF}
end;
