Frequent VS crashes with build 7.2.77.1621

Lately Visual Studio is crashing while opening a solution (25 projects). I have to try tens of times until it luckily loads.
Downgrading to build 7.1.75.1557 or upgrading to build 8.0.80.1635 solve the problem.

My question then is how “alpha” is the 8.0.80 branch, regarding .Net development. Is it safe to use it, or I’ll better try to use the July build?

Kind Regards,
José A. Sánchez

Hello Jose,

Is there any possibility to get the solution on where the VS crashes so we can reproduce and ifx the problem.

Best regards.

Hello Viktoria, that’s complicated, but the thing is that it is already fixed. In the 8.0.80 branch the problem is gone. So this is not a mayor problem. Just a matter of knowing if 8.0.80 could be considered stable for .Net development. Or when a stable version is to be expected.

Kind regards.

The current 8.0 beta should be reasonably stable for Oxygene and C# work on all three platforms

When is V8 due for public release ?

I know have access to beta but as I need to start a new project would prefer to do it with a public release.

We don’t have a release timeframe for 8.0 to announce at this time, sorry.
