Yes, add it to your project as part of the source that gets compiled.
That I don’t know, can you report this, with test case, as a separate issue so I can log an issue for the debugger team? It could be that something throws off the debug symbols.

For Android Studio? i;'m afraid not, no. i don’t know where it puts this. Try running aapt(1) manually on the files from that package?
