I noticed the option for apple intelligence has appeared in the settings for codebot in the latest release.
Sadly, as soon as I tried it, Fire crashes and will not start again.
The fix is to open a previous build where it doesn’t exist, and set it back to OpenAI, then the new build runs.
Curious. i’ll see if i can reproduce that. I assjue you’re on macOS 26? The iooption should not be presented otherwise.
That said, you’re not missing out on anything; the model is very… lackimg..

Reproduced; it crashes inside the Apple Swift wrapper i had to crrate to access the classes. My guess is Apple broke the API between when i wrote this and GM. I’ll disable the option fr now and re-invetsigate.
