Can't compile with XCode7+iOS9 in 8.4.96.2053

IDE: VS 2015
Version: 8.4.96.2053
Target (If relevant): iOS + MacOS Sierra 10.12 + XCode 7
Description:

After upgrade to 8.4.96.2053 and open an iOS project with iOS 9.3 config, this dialog comes out:

And open project property page, there’s only 10.0 as an option:

ok? which part doesn’t work?

So iOS 9.3 is a new SDK to 8.4.96.2053 and I have to import it manually by myself ? So I think 8.4.96.2053 can’t work with iOS9 by default, because an older version like 8.4.96.2043 won’t have this issue.

If this is by design, I will close this thread.

no? just click the Download button and have it downloaded?

Oh forgot to mention that I’ve tried the download click at the first time but failed (because the network in my area is partly blocked). I’ve retried it with a VPN proxy and now it works. Thanks for reminding!

It’s the first time I use the latest version Elements with an older version XCode, so it’s a little confusing because I thought Elements will still contain old version sdks by default.

the installer would get way too huge if we kept all the older fx. but i guess the text in the dialog could use some tweaking to make clear this doesn’t just apply to newer versions, but also older ;). will fix that.
