Can't install DA for Fire

How can I install DA for Fire? Double click on .fireplugin file only starts Fire. What then? Instructions on https://docs.dataabstract.com/IDEs/Fire/Installing/ say to wait for Admin password prompt, but no such thing happens.

Using the latest (today’s) beta.

could be a bug in the beta, i’ll check tomorrow.

There was also an issue with previous RO/DA beta for Windows. I did a clean install and no project templates were created, so I had to install RC first and beta on top of it.

Since that no doubt is entirely unrelated, details would be appreciated.

I did a clean instal of VS2017 Pro on Win10 VM and then installed previous beta. No RODA templates were installed for any of the Elements languages. RODA templates were only installed after I installed latest release. However, I remember that I first installed DA Server for VS Beta and Elements Beta only after that. When I installed DA Release and Elements Release I did the opposite. Maybe that was the reason for no templates in Beta?

if you did not have Elements installed when running the DA setup, you’d not get any Elements templates for RO/DA, yeah. that’d be as designed.

Got it.

One more thing, can you set me up with beta forum access? I get “Access denied” when I click beta forum link.

Hmm, beta access should work automatically, if you are logged int with the account that has the active product license(s). Assuming you are, what’s the exact link that’s failing for you (and where did you find it)?

Here - Compilation for .NET Core 2.0 , 6th answer in the thread (yours).

Sure you’re using https://talk.remobjects.com/c/elements/elements-beta and not the wrong one posted by the OP?

I just clicked on this link and got Access Denied.

and your 100% sure you’re logged in with the account that has your active licenses? can you check if logging out and back in fixes it?

Logging out did the trick. It never occurred to me to try that because when you told me you fixed my account downloads were available right away, so I assumed beta forums will work too. I hope you didn’t waste too much time on that.

my apologies. the Talk system is somewhat separate and apparently caches stuff too long. i’ll talk to @ck to see if we can improve that.
