Data Abstract and Remoting SDK - they do not work in the 64bit IDE.. when?

I have been using the DataAbstract - Remoting environment over many versions of Delphi and many versions of RO and RODA. I am not sure if it is a legacy issue in upgrading, but in my RAD Studio Delphi IDE - 32 bit IDE is business as usual (and my main development platform). I just thought I’d ‘test out’ the 64 bit IDE and see that RO and RODA are not ‘compatible’ -many errors. (BPL-wise?)

Is there an install procedure to make it work or is there a time frame for compatible release?

Thank you in advance

Hi,

Our RO/DA installer is compatible with 64 bit IDE and allows to create correspondent files during installation since .1609.

Can you specify what version of RO/DA are you using, pls?

try select this checkbox in installer

I am using RemObjects Data Abstract for Delphi, Server Edition - 10.0.0.1621

I do not see that first option as per your screen shot… There is nothing above “.bpl paths location”.

I will investigate

I needed to uncheck install into Delphi 12 in the first page.. then the 64bit ide appeared. I had not done that before..

Everwood and Grijjy did not install in 64 bit IDE - the rest seemed ok…

Hi,

What IDE are you using? Delphi 12.3 or Delphi 13.x ?

Delphi 13.1..

I did not look in the install log, but it the installation by itself had no errors

The lower screen first comes up, then the upper screen capture upon IDE start

Hi,

this can be easily fixed:
just declare Everwood variable as C:\Program Files (x86)\RemObjects Software\Everwood at Options->IDE->Environment variables->User system overrides:

Looks like now IDE 64bit has own system overrides.

re Grijjy - you should have OpenSSL x64 dll somewhere in your %path% variable.

Hi

fixed for next build.

Delphi 12.3 x64 shares Environment Variables with usual Delphi 12.3.
Delphi 13.1 x64 has own Environment Variables settings

ALL is working now -as per your directions. Thanks Evgeny!
