Hi.
I’d like to know this decision.
Why .Net connect Version was anchored in the file DataAbstract.daConfig?
I’d installed this version 8.0.30, but I got this error while trying to connect to the database:
…
…
conn := new TDAADOConn(self.connectionManager.AcquireConnection
…
…
Thx

Hi,
Periodically we update DataAbstract.daConfig
and specify the latest versions of .NET providers.
by default, DataAbstract for .NET looks in three different places to find a .daConfig
file:
- as a
DataAbstract.daConfig
file next to your application’s executable
- as a
DataAbstract.daConfig
resource in your application’s executable
- as a resource in
RemObjects.DataAbstract.Server.dll
You can ship updated DataAbstract.daConfig
- in this case your version (8.0.30) can be used.
Pls read for more details:
Hi
Right, any chance that an old version generate some kind of bug or incompatibility?
