Default value for datatabele fields

Hello,

When mapping a table using SchemaModeler, default field values ​​are captured as well, which is great. However, FirebirdSQL TIMESTAMP fields support constants such as CURRENT_TIMESTAMP, CURRENT_DATE, ‘NOW’, etc.

These values ​​are captured exactly as-is, but applying them to the field causes an error because they are treated as strings. Is there a way to convert these constants into their actual values? How should this issue be handled according to the framework’s design?

It is not a critical issue; it is simply a nice way to transfer default values ​​declaratively.

Hi,

I think we will keep default values for simple types (strings and numbers) and remove them for other types.
other DB like MSSQL, SQLITE, MYSQL, etc can use functions in default values. we can’t handle these values anyway …
