Easy solutions to some Android issues

In case of use to anyone playing with Oxygene for Java:

Brian,

I just wanted to thank you for all the work you did for the Oxygene for Java project!
All the articles you wrote really helped me to get going with Android!
And without your extensive testing, I doubt the project would be where it is today…

Thank you!

I’m glad my efforts have been of help :o)

I really like the product - while it was rough around the edges (as is to be expected) in those early pre-release days, I liked it so much I had to keep working with it and reporting issues to make it better for me to use

I just hope the product isn’t too niche to make some money out of it - after all that’s what we’re all in the business for!

Nice article. Imho, you do not have to do adb start-server. It is automatically restarted on next use. Only very sometimes it takes too long to start and you get a timeout listing connected devices.

Your last statement is also what worries me the most, it got me into the Oxygene for iPhone mess… I really love the Oxygene language far above Java and C, but I have to create long-term software and I’m still unsure if it’s future proof…
