I can get the Fire app up and running, all seems great
I just wondered with the Beta download what the included Elements Mac Zip Distro zip file is for and where I should look to install the files it contains?
Cheers,
Matt

Its an external copy of the compiler. You can copy it to a folder anywhere under your user directory and then run ./install.sh in that folder to register stuff.
You can run an internal or external copy of the compiler based on what you have selected in the build options from preferences.
Essentially what John said. The compiler is provided optionally, in case you wanna run your own externally insatlled copy of Mono and the compiler (there’s an option in Preferences).
Unless you have good reason to, you should be good with just Fire.app, as everything needed is in there.
That’s great, thanks for the clarification.
