Feature request: External tools

I would like to have the possibility to launch external tools from Water, as I can from VS, with the project file or active file as parameter.
Example of usage: I have created a simple program that updates all version information in all projects of a solution that I use now in VS and I invoke this by hand each time I need a new version build of the project.
