Another problem with this project is from time to time a gradle reference show up in the project after cleaning up project many times. Gradle references are commented out. And Gradle by itself doesn’t work. It only can add references after I add them manually in the project

Having two R classes is normal, tea r en different namespaces. If you look at the /obj folder, you;ll find to R.java files, one for your namespace and one for android.support.v7.recyclerview. This is expected and as designed.

That there’s a nested R class seems like a bug, logging.
