Installation problem/question Visual Studio 2022

I have installed the latest stable Hydra. In visual studio 2022 I don’t have the option to “Import interface from Delphi Unit” I believe it should be under “Tools” > Hydra > Import… But Hydra doesn’t exist in that menu. Under Extensions there is a Hydra > Import Plugin Interface. But I think that is if I wanted to embed a delphi plugin into a .net application.

Is there a fix for this?

Hi,

have you opened/created .NET Hydra host app?

I can suggest:

  • create a new Hydra Host App (.NET Framework)
  • Extensions->Hydra->Import Plugin Interface will work.

Note: It is known issue that import doesn’t work for Hydra Host App (.NET Core).

I think I understand now. Only the Host app can import from the plugin. So if .Net is the host then it can import, and if Delphi is the host it can import. Chat bots didn’t understand this either. lol.
