I need to install Elements on a computer that doesn’t have internet access. I got the 9.1 installer and installed it correctly. However, when I go to the portal to download my .lic file so I can import it, the file has no mention of 9.x (it only lists versions 7.0 and 8.0). Do I need a newer license file?
Jim,
the version numbers in the license file don’t mater, all that matters is the dates.
yours,
marc
And here are all of the lines with the most recent subscription end date (which is this coming Sept).
Curious. can you send me the license file you have (not here, via private message!), and can you make sure its the only file in %APPDATA%\RemObjects Software\Licenses? I assume the build you are using is 9.1 RTM, and the license file was downloaded 8after* we shipped 9.1, right?
(license files never work with builds that were created after the file itself was created).

Wait - hang on. I got it imported.
I clicked on the “Import licenses from a local file” in the popup window I sent you before and it worked.
Previously, I did Help | RemObjects License Manager in VS, then the Import Licenses menu, but that didn’t work.
FYI
Glad it now works.
to be clear, the import via the license dialog isn VS did work; the import via the standalone License Manager .exe did not?
Correct
Ok. i’ll have someone have a look at that. Burt really, that old License Manager .exe just needs to be taken out back and shot, at this stage
Understood. But it looks more “official” since it’s in the VS menu!
