I downloaded the latest version of Elements (to try out if I still remember how to make programs with it, there is a pause…) and during the installation I noticed an error. I checked my antimalware program and there was a warning about OxygeneRegClean2.exe, it was not very useful “Malware.GenericML”.
I am trying out a beta version of Acronis Cyber Protect (v.15), so that might be the reason. I must find out how to block and restore the file from quarantine.
I figured out a solution, I just changed the anti-virus program. The Acronis program is quite sensitive and the new version is still in beta.
Thanx for letting us know anyways; while im sure its a false positive, I’ll have a look anyways, and will try and contact the developers of Acronis Cyber Protect about this.
I didn’t mention that the Acronis program blocked also the compiled program with the same error message. There is a ticket open also in Acronis side (ACP-277) if you manage to contact them.
