.NET SDK will not recognise Oxygene

I’ve installed the latest Prism ISO and applied the latest Visual Studio updates (using the Shell edition).

Using the latest version of the SDK I can’t get Oxygene listed as a language option (only C# and Visual Basic are listed) when I want to import a RODL.

I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled everything I can think of and still no change. This is a new machine running Windows 7 64 bit with .NET 4.0.

I’ve even tried the RO .NET SDK Beta (23 Dec) - this shows the SDK on the splash screen, but still no Oxygene option (ASP.NET applications using Oxygene compile ok).

Help!

We’ve now installed the SDK on a separate machine (Windows 7) with exactly the same problem. We’ve also noticed that if we run the ServiceBuilder on its own it does not list Oxygene on the CodeGen menu.

We’ve now noticed that if we start a new Prism ‘Project’ the RODL imports as Oxygene automatically, but with a new Prism ‘Website’, language import options appear which do not include Oxygene (C# and Visual Basic are listed).

Hello,

Sorry for the delay. Your problem is reproduced and bug is registered for further review (#52635).

As a workaroud you can use next steps:

  1. Open regedit.exe
  2. Navigate to HKCU\Software\RemObjects\Oxygene and HKLM\Software\RemObjects\Oxygene and make sure there is “Installed = 1” key. If that key doesn’t exist create new string key (name = Installed, Value = 1).

If it doesn’t help let us know.

Best regards.

Many thanks

The HKCU did the trick once I had created the key. There was no entry at all for HKLM so I left it.

Hello

Bot issues (with Service Builder and with RemObjects SDK Service Imports dialog) have been fixed. These fixes will be included into the next Beta release
