Yeah one of our colleagues gets the exact same error. We’re working on it.
For what we are checking, you have done something in the latest version of Elements which causes many problems in the Android compiler, as we are also having other problems with lines of code that previously functioned perfectly. 
There’s more two weeks of updates in the last build, though I don’t recall any Java specific fixes, I’m sure there were. That said, the problem you posted makes little sense to me, esp since it works here
