Just noticed that my Relativity server is not using my dev license: status message states “royality-free edition”. I ve examined folders, and found my license file imported. Checked this both under win (win7/dxe2) and mac (lion/xcode4.3).
Then i examined license file and found outdated beta record (expired) for “cooper”. Maybe this record is a reason for refusing license file?
Relativity server doesn’t use Data Abstract license as Dev one anymore. Please contact us via email: support@remobjects.com and send us your account information. We will update your license information and send appropriate .lic file.
this should work automatically; if it doesn’t for you it’s an anomaly with your account, not a general issue that needs doc’ing. every DA product subscription contains an explict Relativity license now.
have downloaded and installed latest beta (.997) of DA/X;
have downloaded and imported license file from portal;
No result - still “Relativity, Royalty-Free Edition”.
The only strange thing with my account is “Oxygene “Cooper” BETA Subscription” - its expired an age ago, but it is still on “Your Licenses” section, not in “Previous Licenses”.
Then i tried to perform “clean” install:
removed all RemObjects stuff under /Developer, /User/“account”/Library/Application Support/RemObjects and RemObjects Software (why two folders?);
then installed DA/X .997 one more time
Result: no luck! At first launch DA Server Explorer asks me for license, download it, but Realtivity is still “Royality-Free Edition”. Manual import of license file from portal does not helped much.
Switching to the “Dark side” (Windows, .997) either did not helped me: same result!
Tested on my MacBook - same result under my second mac. And finally tested on my second Windows dev VM: .991, same result even after manual import.
I m think there is soething with my license file)))
