I am unable to update my client files in Visual Studio 2026. Do I really need to install Visual Studio 2022 to update my client .rodl, .intf files. What are my options here?

Can you specify what version of Remoting SDK (or Data Abstract) you are using?
We were unable to reproduce this issue with 10.0.0.1623 version.
As a temporary workaround, you can open your .RODL in Service Builder manually to edit it and regenerate the _Intf / _ServerAccess files.
